Dear Friends,

During the recent spring congressional break, I held a series of important meetings in Richmond, Hercules, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Martinez and elsewhere about key issues before Congress that affect our communities.  I talked with constituents in my congressional district about ending the war in Iraq, how to provide better quality care for veterans and wounded soldiers, improving public schools, refinery worker safety and increasing the supply of skilled workers in our area.

These meetings afforded me the opportunity to hear about people's concerns and experiences in our community and to share with them my thoughts on how Congress can best respond.  I have posted on my website information, photographs and new coverage about these meetings and the issues we discussed.  I hope you will take a moment to look at it.  As always, please feel free to share this information with your friends and family, and do not hesitate to send me an email  with your thoughts or comments.
